Who we are

Plucky Digital is the creative technology team at Plucky, based in Burbank, California. This notice explains what information digital.plucky.la collects, why, who handles it and how long we keep it. “We” and “us” mean Plucky, 333 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Suite 310, Burbank, CA 91502. Questions go to Interactive@plucky.la.

The short version

  • We collect what you type into the project inquiry form, and use it only to reply about your project.
  • We don’t sell or share your personal information. We don’t run ads, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
  • Google Analytics runs only if you choose Allow Google Analytics. It never runs if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
  • You can change your choice at any time under Privacy choices at the bottom of every page.

When you send a project inquiry

What we collect

Information Required? Why we ask
Your name Yes So we know who we’re replying to
Work email Yes So we can reply to you
Company or organization No So we understand who the project is for
Project type Yes So the right people at Plucky see your inquiry
Project description Yes So we understand what you need
Timing and budget No So we can judge fit and plan our reply

The form also records when you sent it and whether the spam check passed. The email we receive doesn’t include your IP address or browser details.

How we use it. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to discuss a possible project with you. We don’t use it for marketing, and we don’t sell or share it.

Please leave confidential details out of the form. We’re happy to sign an NDA before you share them.

How it reaches us. When you press Send, our website (hosted by GoDaddy) checks the form and emails it from our web server to our team inbox, Interactive@plucky.la, which runs on Microsoft 365. If you email Interactive@plucky.la directly, your message goes to the same inbox.

How long we keep it. We keep inquiry emails in our inbox for as long as we need them to reply to you and to keep a record of our business conversations. Our hosting provider’s mail server keeps routine delivery records (such as the delivery status and the subject line, which includes the company name you entered). You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.

When you visit the site

Hosting and security (GoDaddy). GoDaddy hosts this site. Like any web server, it processes your IP address, your browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and its server logs may include your IP address for a short time. To limit repeated form submissions within a short window, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for about a minute; we never store the address itself.

Light or dark mode. If you switch to light mode, we remember your choice in a theme cookie that plucky.la also reads, so both sites look the same to you. It records only light or dark, lasts a year, and isn’t used for tracking.

Spam protection. The inquiry form includes a hidden field that people don’t see and checks how quickly it was filled in. Neither uses cookies or sends anything to another company.

Fonts (Hoefler&Co). Our typeface is licensed from Hoefler&Co, part of Monotype, through its Cloud.typography service. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from cloud.typography.com, so Hoefler&Co receives your IP address, your browser details and the address of this site.

Embedded video (Vimeo). One page, our video converter, offers a Vimeo video. Your browser connects to Vimeo only after you choose to play it; Vimeo then receives your IP address and browser details. We ask Vimeo’s player not to track your session.

Information stored in your browser. We save your Google Analytics choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again. It stays on your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Google Analytics, only if you allow it

If you choose Allow Google Analytics, we load Google Analytics 4. It shows us which pages people visit, which projects they open, and whether an inquiry was sent. It never sees what an inquiry says.

Google Analytics sets cookies on this site (_ga and _ga_<ID>), which last up to two years. We’ve set it up so that advertising features, ad personalization and Google signals are off, it isn’t linked to Google Ads, and user-level data is kept for 2 months. We never send your name, email address or inquiry to Google.

Google Analytics doesn’t load when:

  • you choose No thanks, or haven’t made a choice;
  • JavaScript is turned off;
  • your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

To turn it off later, open Privacy choices and choose Turn off Google Analytics. We then delete the Google Analytics cookies from this site and reload the page. For how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We don’t sell or share your personal information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t run ads or ad pixels. We give information only to the service providers listed below, who handle it to run this site and deliver your inquiry.

Your choices and rights

  • Privacy choices. Use the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page to allow or turn off Google Analytics.
  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends either signal, we treat it as an opt-out: Google Analytics doesn’t load, and Privacy choices shows “Opt-out request honored.”
  • Your information. To ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email Interactive@plucky.la. We’ll reply within 45 days. Asking won’t change how we treat you.
